Pieces and Pieces

After Alyssa Pearson debuted on REELATE as a part of the first reelate workshop, she covered local celebrity Deloris Angeli and the story of how she developed ART IS ALIVE an event which was partly responsible for generating the arts rennaisance in Canton.

After making that film, Alyssa went on to make an national award winning short and then, after studying at Oxford, was accepted into the prestigious film program at Temple University.

When I first saw this new film - I was struck by the experimental methods that Alyssa used and the ways that the film probed the idea of memory at both the individual level and the cultural level. THEN I realized that it qualified to be a reelate film -- because it's a film ABOUT a Stark County woman (Alyssa's mom) and made BY a Stark County filmmaker.

When I found out about Alyssa's kickstarter for her new film (you should read about it HERE) -- I said that this would be the perfect time to release her film on reelate.
