The story behind the stories

Inspiration
Perspiration

Scott designed much of Reelate's initial look while Jay built connections between community supporters, web hosts, and filmmakers.  Rudd developed the workshop program, but all three of the founders helped our storytellers build their stories *and* worked on stories of their own.

The real perspiration is all the effort and energy that our storytellers -- from the first workshop and all of the storytellers that have joined us since then -- invest in making this micro-documentaries.

In 2005, Scott Meier and Jay Oldaker invited Andrew Rudd to join them in a storytelling / filmmaking / webtrepeneurial enterprise.

The three of them were inspired to use stories to help connect us to where we live.

With an ARTS IN STARK grant in hand, and the generous sponsorship of Malone University, the first Reelate Workshop was born.

Read more about the inspiration and perspiration behind some of the reelate stories by checking out the blog.  We'll feature different stories at different times, so do check back.

Let us know what you think by sending feedback.  We'll pass your comments on to our filmmakers, and if our stories spark stories from you?  We'll post them on our blog.
